Johannes is the closest stylistic match to Turner in the WNBA. Her shot chart is almost entirely perimeter: 77.5% of her field goal attempts are threes, with the wing (31.2% freq) and top of the arc (27.7%) absorbing most of the volume. The interior is nearly empty. Paint, short mid, and long mid combine for 11.9% of her attempts. When she does get to the rim, she converts at 77.8% (+15.9 vs league), but that's only 27 shots across 33 games. The three-point zones are all green: corner at 40.4% (+5.3), wing at 36.7% (+1.9), and top at 41.4% (+8.4). Johannes is evidence that the role can work at the highest level of the WNBA. She plays for a title contender. The free throw line is the other parallel. McBride shoots 91.7% from the stripe. Turner shoots 95.6%. The touch is the same kind.

Where McBride separates from Johannes is the interior game. She finishes 67.3% at the rim (+5.5) on 101 attempts and shoots 45.7% from the paint (+5.8). That gives her 18.0 PPG and +2.02 POE/G, production that goes beyond role-player value. The interior finishing opens the three-point looks that drive her offense. Defenses can't just chase her off the line if she can get to the rim. Turner doesn't have that interior game at Gonzaga. Whether she can add it will determine whether she lands closer to Johannes's role (specialist off the bench) or McBride's (high-usage guard who can score from multiple levels).
