Small School Prospects the Draft Networks Miss
Seven non-major-conference players with shot profiles worth watching, paired with zone-based shot charts.

In Part 1, we built the archetype framework, validated it against 83 WNBA players, and identified the efficiency benchmarks that predict WNBA production. In Part 2, we ranked the top major-conference prospects using WNBA-validated correlation weights. But 1,480 qualified players play outside the five major conferences. Shot profiles don't care about conference affiliation. Below, we feature seven standouts from the non-major pool, paired with zone-based shot charts, WNBA benchmark match flags, and the closest WNBA player comp for each prospect.
Scoring Threat
Scoring Threats check all three boxes: rim, perimeter, and free throw line. They produce the most WNBA value of any archetype. WNBA benchmarks ( Part 1): FGA/gm โฅ 10, FG% โฅ 43%, 3P% โฅ 32%, FT% โฅ 75%, FT rate โฅ 25%. 808 non-major-conference players qualify.
Peyton Hill ยท MACโโโโโ
Hill clears all five Scoring Threat benchmarks. The headline stat is the 42.3% FT rate: she gets to the line more than any other non-major Scoring Threat in the top 50. The shot chart shows a balanced scorer who can hurt you from every zone. She shoots 57.1% at the rim (+2.4 vs league), 52.2% from the long midrange (+18.9), and 35.2% from three across all three perimeter zones. At 10.7 FGA/game in the MAC, she averaged 15.4 PPG with a +2.60 POE/G. The foul-drawing profile is unusual for a guard at any level.

Skye Belker ยท Ivy Leagueโโโโโ
Belker's shot chart is the greenest in this article. Across three Ivy League seasons (88 games, 807 career FGA), she shoots above the league average from nearly every zone: 53.3% in the paint (+15.5), 46.2% from the short midrange (+13.4), 42.2% from the corner three (+9.7), and 45.0% from the top of the arc (+15.0). The only cold zone is the wing three at 29.2% (-1.4). She misses two benchmarks: volume (9.2 FGA/g) and FT rate (24.7%). Volume is the strongest WNBA predictor for Scoring Threats, so the gap matters. But the efficiency numbers (44.0% FG, 37.5% 3P, 84.4% FT) are strong enough to project, and three years of data at this level of consistency makes the profile stable. Ivy League players are structurally undervalued because the conference doesn't generate draft buzz.

Interior Presence
Interior Presence players are rim-dominant with no meaningful perimeter game. WNBA benchmarks ( Part 1): FGA/gm โฅ 9, FG% โฅ 50%, FT rate โฅ 35%, FT% โฅ 68%. The archetype spans a wide range of playing styles. Some are pure rim finishers. Others create value through foul-drawing and midrange scoring. What they share is that their offense runs through the paint. 297 non-major players qualify.
Raegan McCowan ยท Summit Leagueโโโโ
McCowan's shot chart is an inside-out gradient. The interior zones are green: 54.9% at the rim, 54.5% in the paint (+16.9), 46.2% from the short midrange (+13.4), and 46.7% from the long midrange (+13.2). Then the three-point zones go cold. She shoots 18.2% from the top of the arc (-11.6 vs league). At 16.4 FGA/game across three seasons, the volume is real. Her offense lives in the midrange and paint without a three-point threat. At this efficiency inside the arc, she creates problems that don't require a jump shot to solve.

Ayanna-Sarai Darrington ยท MACโโโโ
Darrington's shot chart is the most concentrated in this article. 75.1% of her field goal attempts come at the rim, where she converts 62.5% (+6.8 vs league). Another 19.9% land in the paint. The three-point zones are completely empty. She doesn't take a single three across the season. The chart makes her role obvious: she finishes at the basket at above-average rates and doesn't pretend to be something she's not. At 56.7% overall FG and a 54.9% foul-drawing rate in the MAC, her profile is that of a rim finisher whose value is entirely about converting touches near the basket.

Jalayah Ingram ยท WACโโโโ
Ingram shows the other side of Interior Presence: heavy interior volume with below-average shooting from the rim and paint. She shoots 48.4% at the rim (-7.4 vs league) and 31.5% in the paint (-6.2). That looks bad until you see the FT rate: 53.6% (FTA/FGA). She converts at the line at 80.1%. The long midrange is the surprise: 44.8% on 96 attempts (+11.3 vs league). That mid-post game, combined with 14.1 FGA/game as a freshman, suggests a player whose value is higher than her field goal percentage implies.
Closest WNBA profile: Haley Jones (DAL, 5.4 contrib, distance 2.27)
Three Interior Presence players, three different shot charts, three different WNBA comps. McCowan spreads the interior evenly and profiles like Rickea Jackson (22.3 contrib). Darrington lives at the rim and profiles like Naz Hillmon (13.2 contrib). Ingram draws fouls and works the midrange like Haley Jones (5.4 contrib). The archetype groups them together because none shoots threes. The shot charts and WNBA comps show why that label covers more ground than people expect.
Specialist
Specialists are missing at least one scoring level. WNBA benchmarks ( Part 1): 3P% โฅ 34%, FT% โฅ 78%, 2P% โฅ 43%, FG% โฅ 40%. Most are perimeter shooters who don't get to the free throw line at meaningful rates. The WNBA data says this archetype averages half the value of the other two, but the right shooter in the right system can carve out a long career. 375 non-major players qualify.
Meghan Andersen ยท MAACโโโโ
Andersen's shot chart is a clean split between the rim (36.9% of attempts, 52.8% FG) and the three-point line (49.9% combined three-point frequency). She skips the midrange almost entirely: the short mid and long mid zones account for 5.6% of her shots combined. The three-point zones are all green. She shoots 41.1% from the corner (+8.6), 43.1% from the wing (+12.5), and 38.0% from the top (+8.2). She clears all four Specialist benchmarks across three years of data. The missing piece is foul-drawing (14.2% FT rate), which is what keeps her out of the Scoring Threat tier.

Allie Turner ยท WCCโโโโ
Turner's shot chart is the most visually striking in this article. The entire three-point arc is dark green. She shoots 45.2% from the corner (+12.7), 54.2% from the wing (+23.5), and 45.6% from the top (+15.8). Those are WNBA-level three-point percentages from every zone. The 95.6% free throw percentage on the season confirms the touch. She clears all four Specialist benchmarks across two years at Gonzaga, with a +3.49 POE/G. The WCC is a strong enough conference that the competition level isn't a major discount.

Transfer Validation
Five of the top non-major Scoring Threats from the WNBA-benchmarked model were independently recruited by P5 programs: Corbitt (to Miami), Morson (to Arizona State), Wickstrom (to Purdue), Bradley (to Alabama), and Elisaldez (to Wisconsin). These transfers happened after the model was built. P5 coaches arrived at the same conclusions about these shot profiles through their own evaluation. The model identifies the efficiency patterns. The market confirms them.
What This Series Found
Across three articles, we classified 4.2 million shots into a framework that sorts players by how they score. The WNBA validation showed that Scoring Threats and Interior Presence players produce star-level value, while Specialists average half the output. The correlation analysis identified which college metrics matter most within each archetype, and the benchmark thresholds gave a concrete standard to evaluate against.
The WNBA player comps connect college shot profiles to professional production. McCowan's shot chart profiles like a 22.3-contrib Rickea Jackson. Hill clears all five Scoring Threat benchmarks and profiles like a 16.0-contrib Kiki Rice. Turner's three-point chart is covered in dark green across every zone. The data on transfers confirms that shot profiles travel across conference lines. Conference affiliation tells you about the competition level, not about the player's scoring DNA. The framework gives evaluators a common language to compare across levels, the benchmarks set the WNBA standard, and the shot charts show the evidence.
